You may not be worrying about how to lose the baby weight right now but as the weeks go by, you will almost be able to watch your bump as it grows, it will be slow to begin with and then, all of a sudden, it will appear out of nowhere and keep growing at a steady pace. Many women love to show off their bump, a craze among celebrities, of having their pictures taken heavily pregnant and naked that started with Demi Moore in 1991's Vanity Fair front cover has helped make women feel more comfortable about showing their own amazing bumps off.
Unfortunately though most women do not have the chefs, person trainers and plastic surgeons that these Hollywood celebs have, so may not find it quite so easy to lose the baby belly after delivery.
Did you know that it is even harder to lose the baby weight if you are 25 or over? It may seem like a losing battle but trust me it isn't.
With the added pounds you can gain during pregnancy, age also tends to make us crave for fattier foods but did you know that you can actually cut down or totally eliminate these cravings by eating a healthier diet?
It is not so much about how much we eat but what we eat, drastically lowering our calorie intake can just make our bodies conserve the fat so we have to eat the correct foods to stop this happening, so you see there is no need to starve ourselves.
Hormones can change your willingness to do any exercise and they can also control how we metabolize our foods, again this can easily be changed with just a few tweaks in our diet.
These few tweaks to your diet will not only help you lose your baby weight but also keep you slim and healthy for life.
As well as dietary changes you must add some exercise into your life too. This does not need to be as scary as you think though, you can do whatever suits your fitness level.
Just going for a few 30 minute walks a week is enough to make a difference, this is easy to do even in cold weather, just go to your nearest shopping mall and do some laps there!
If you already exercise then that is great, you can still benefit from adding a few long or short walks into your week, just do what suits you.
Some easy ways to get some more walking into your daily routine are taking the stairs instead of lifts/elevators although this may not be so easy with a pram, when I go to my shopping mall, it is on three floors and I will go out the doors and walk up the hill to get to the next floor, it's great exercise and is actually sometimes quicker than waiting for the lift.
Do all of your exercises slowly at first and then build up, if you did not do any previously then you don't want to get straight in there with an hour long jog, this will cause more harm than good and probably just put you off altogether.
Finding an easy to do diet plan that fits into your life with minimum effort is the best way to go, you don't need complex and strict diets and exercise regimes that feel as though you are being punished.
Small achievable goals are the way to go, you must enjoy life as a pregnant woman and a mother healthily and have the balance of eating right and not gaining excessive amounts of weight but without starving yourself and working out till you drop with exhaustion.
